God have really been good to me.

Hey everyone! I am here to testify the goodness and greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Firstly, last Friday was my last week of internship in OCBC Tampines. As I have shared previously on 03 August 2007 one of my colleagues (the one I am assigned to she’s Marnie) treated me and another colleague (Rowena) for lunch at Jack’s Place. It was really cool, not only the lunch that I am blessed with but is their companion. They are my best pals in OCBC.

During lunch they shared about their personally lives and I am really amazed they are so open with me. As both of them are from Philippines, I managed to know more about their culture. It was really amazing.

Then last Tuesday, 07 August 2007, Rowena treated me Filipinos packed lunch as I wanted to try how their food taste like is. Although the food is not something I really enjoyed eating as of our different taste, it is the people I am eating with make everything so nice. I always see in my friend’s blog she said “it’s not the food that matters but the people you are eating with”. I am quite agreeing with that. Anyway after lunch that day we chatted for quite awhile and I enjoyed a lot.

The following day, Rowena blessed my whole team to Fish and Co. for lunch. It was also known as a farewell lunch for me. It was the first time I got to have a relaxed conversation with my supervisor. I realized he’s indeed a funny person through this meal. As we finished lunch early he offered to go have coffee before we go back office and of course we chat some more when we are having coffee haha.

Other than all these meals, Marnie and Rowena bought me an Esprit hand bag and a 1GB thumb drive. I felt so blessed not only they are expensive gifts but a hand bag and a thumb drive is what I wanted. (I just have a thought of buying them previously and ‘ding’ I got them now.) Thank God.

One more thing, another colleague from the project team that I was involved in asked Marnie to request for a testimonial from the project manager and my supervisor’s supervisor. It was because my supervisor’s position is Assistant Vice President, where the both of them are Vice President. Position higher name/signature more weight haha. Although I am not sure if Marnie will be managed to take it, just by that little action it affirmed me that I did great hehe.

Indeed the 4 months of attachment is a fruitful one and I guess I have left an impact on them (which I wanted in my goal in these 6 months). Praise the Lord! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD. For He is greater in me than he is in the world. I AM SO BLESSED.

Secondly, I thank God for Ivan. He is really a blessing from God. I thanked him for his time to organize a wonderful and memorable birthday dinner with my two groups of friends; secondary and polytechnic. I am so blessed by their company and the gifts they bought for me.

Indeed God is a God of more than enough. On the day itself I have received,

Thirdly, Ivan's mum treated Ivan and I to Cafe Cartel as a birthday treat for me. She even bought me the shoes I wanted to buy hehe. I am so glad to have her.

Last but not least, I felt so thankful for God to place such wonderful people in my life. It was because the friends you have can either make your life in heaven or a living … So always be thankful for the great things God have done in your life and never grew complacent.

THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE PUT INTO MY LIFE.

benjamin's testimony

uHey N161, sorry haven’t been posting much lately. Been in China for close to 4 weeks now and really miss all of you.

Finally settled down here in China and cleared up all my admin work. The weather here is hovering around 38 to 41 degrees Celsius everyday.

Anyway, really blessed to be here. Got a really good company with a really good boss. Not only is the pay high, the company has great welfare. The provide lunch everyday and the food is really good. They help me with a lot of the administrative things like extending my visa and whenever there’s anything wrong, they will always activate the company bus to drive me to where I need to go.

The accommodations I’m in is also really great and I have great housemates who I’m really enjoying China with. Still trying to reach out here.

Ooh, I like the skin of our blog. Jesus is all bout love. (:

I thank God for everything in my life. Especially Dorcas. She's so cute just like sugar, spice and eveything nice! M blessed with a leader like you. I watched simpsons yesterday and there was this particular line in the movie that says, "a leader is born to lead not to read" Muahahahahaha! And this has nothing to do with anything I just feel so random. Oh wells, randomosity. The main thing is, I LIKE DORCAS. Cause she's wise and she shows me the image of God. HEHEHE I WANT TO BE GOD TOO (:

My holidays are boring. The days walk extra slowly but wooops, it gives me more time at home alone with God now that my maid is gone. She stole our money, grr! Muahaha, I love I love the quiet times with my LORD.

Yayness to one more thing. I call it the SEOW WEI'S ACHIEVEMENT! Muahaha! There was one day I had private time with the Lord. And yes no one's home. As I prayed, I could feel something hit in my mind. Somehow it gave me the inspiration to sit in front of the piano and start playing the church songs i've been humming to myself lately! And so I did. Whoohoo whoohoo! I coordinated the notes, started singing and playing the piano! Of course I needed the help of some coordination so I searched for guitar4christ. I cant play the guitar but the chords were useful. For hours the presence of God kept flowing.

Best thing in world was IT WAS JUST YOU AND ME LORD. I could express it all just the way I want. (:

Thank you Father for everything in my life presently. Hahaha I can't seem to express how much you did but it's so much. You're the greatest love. Yes yes, yes you are! M so proud of you my Lord, I love you I love you I love you I love you wholeheartedly.

Shan's testimony!

today i had my individual presentation for a particular module.
before it's my turn, i was really nervous and i hardly practised my speech.
so, i was pretty unprepared and i prayed to God that he would bless me with confidence and i would be fluent and clear during my presentation.

even when i was walking up to the front of the class, i was literally shaking a bit.

BUT!! once i started, i did not feel scared anymore.
i just went on and on without much mistakes and i could memorise most of the planned speech of mine. furthermore, my friends said that i was quite natural and they enjoyed the topic.

so i thank God for guiding me during the speech and providing me the confidence that i needed most at that point of time.

HEY GUYS! Hope your week has been great so far. I know mine was :) I just want to share a short sweet simple and tasty testimony. As I am going to go back camp tonight, so while I was using the computer I had a sudden thought of hope that my dad would buy back durian tonight. Well oh well, indeed GOD will provide. HE hears the whispers of our heart. PRAISE THE LORD. My dad really brought home durians! I can't contain my joy, its ecstatic! Because I believe in the Bible.

Ephesians 3:20 (New King James Version)"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."

Come lets all lift up our Bible and confess! THIS IS MY BIBLE. I AM WHAT IT SAYS I AM. I HAVE WHAT IT SAYS I HAVE. I CAN BE WHAT IT SAYS I CAN BE. THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, AND IT'S GOING TO CHANGE(and transform) MY LIFE!

Great is our GOD and greatly to be praised. GOD is real today =)

Healing is REAL!

Last Satuday we went for Richard Robert's service. To be honest, i forgot that he's coming that week for healing service until we reached there and saw the bulletin. This healing service is one of the best i can say. That day, Auntie Susan, Annabelle and i were sitting on Delta terrace as Auntie Susan can't sit to near to the stage as she'll feel giddy when the music is too loud. So both of us volunteer to sit beside her. Though we are sitting at the back, the presence of God was so strong!

After the sharing of words by Richard Roberts, we start praying and Richard Roberts start healing people. Even when he's sharing the word of God, people already get healed by him too. I believe those who went for it did visual it yourself. It was so amazing. While we are praying in groups and praying for one another, goosebumps starting acting on my body. i know it very clearly that it is God. My right hand is on Auntie Susan and i can feel that something is producing in my body, which is heat.

At the beginning, the heat is just on my right hand, slowly, it moves toward my right arm and towards my right leg. After awhile, my entire right side seems to be on hot. I know and i know, something is working. so i get closer to Auntie Susan as it seems like my right hand is passing the heat towards her. Never did i experience such things before, that's why i know it very clearly. I know that the heat in my body, the goosebumps i had is warmth and comfortable. I know it's God who is doing something in my body! Praise the Lord!

So after the entire service, Auntie Susan told me that there's a "pop" sound on her right ear just now and her body is feeling better! I got so happy! Not that i'm boasting, but i know that God has use me to heal her somehow. Though it's not totally healed, at least she's feeling better now. I got so amaze that even i myself, is able to heal someone through Christ. I am so happy that God uses someone like me to heal Auntie Susan.

That experience... is really hard to explain. It was so Great, so Amazing, it's like Miracles! It'll be even clearer when you guys experience it. Thank you God for using me. You've allow me to grow stronger in Christ. Continue to pray for Auntie Susan and pray that she'll be alright soon. Amen.

Let's flow in the Spirit

Hey guys after last Monday prayer meeting, I really felt great. However, one thing that I have learnt is that being able to flow is not rushing but flowing in the presence. At times we may think that praying loud and forceful will draw down the presence of God which I think is not totally always the case.

During the time when we broke into 2 groups and pray, at first I was praying quite loud and forceful because I really want to press in and get into the presence. However, I felt rather irritated when I don't feel it. Then God just spoke to me to slow down can calm my spirit. When that happened, God's presence overwhelmed me.

As we are living in a very fast paced society and we tend to rush through the things that we are doing. And we become stressful when things are not done fast enough. It's true that at time we do not have the liberty of time. But I truly think that we should always take time to flow in the presence of God. After all we want to receive from God don't we? Therefore if rushing and couldn't receive/impacted by God don't you think it is a waste of time? Therefore I strongly encourage that we should flow with the Holy Spirit even more; be sensitive to the spirit and we will be able to grow even more.

Dear ALL N161 members,

Since I’m flying off tomorrow, I thought of just dropping you guys a good-bye message.
(ps. I’ll be back on sun noon but not sure what time it is)

Before I leave, I would like to say how privilege I am to be able to serve in N161. Please forgive me for the times when I was not sensitive to your feelings. If I had offended anyone in the cell group, please forgive me. Being in N161 has bought me great joy, love and sacrifice at the same time.

As I’m not around this weekend, please continue to give Dorcas all your support! Continue to build up the spiritual and faith atmosphere during cell group meetings! We are one body in Christ through the same Holy Spirit. I would like to challenge all of you to give all your best during praise and worship! Seriously, praise without actions and joy isn’t praise at all! To give praise means to be joyful and to fully express yourselves. Let’s all break the awkwardness as we jump and clap during praise in cell group meetings! Only when we step out of our comfort zones then will we be able to draw down even greater presence and anointing of God!

Also, Dorcas has mentioned that we need to be accountable to our leaders. Accountability to our leaders (Dorcas, in this case) is of importance as our leaders need to know what is going on in our lives and also other member’s lives. Please understand that letting Dorcas know what is happening in other member’s lives is not gossiping. We are simply reporting facts to Dorcas without any personal opinion and judgment of that person. This is highly important because Dorcas is our leader and we have to let her know if any member is going through any rough times so that she can intervene with Godly wisdom. Trust me, anything that you say to Dorcas will be confidential and won’t be passed around unnecessarily. Only when we truly open up our lives to Dorcas then can we be impacted by God through Dorcas!

As we remain accountable to our leaders in everything that we do, we are under our leaders’ spiritual covering. It is something like a spiritual umbrella. As we remain inside the spiritual umbrella, the cold rain from the outside can’t drench us though it might wet us slightly. Similarly, we remain protected when we remain accountable and when satan attacks, we would not fall that easily. I would strongly urge everyone of you to remain accountable to your team leaders and most importantly Dorcas.

I’m really honored to be able to lead the Prayer Meeting at my house just now. I hoped that everyone of you had a great time praying and worshipping out God Almighty. Let everyone of us never give up this good fight of faith! Let’s all run together united as a cell group with the same vision!

Amazing Testimony

Hey hey guys, got testimony to share! LOL. Something amazing happen to me this week. God really answer my prayer even though it's a last minute one. Everytime, i will be taking bus 969 from Tampines bus interchange to Khatib, then thereby cross over the overhead bridge and change to either but 851, 852 or 853 to school. Unexpectedly, after ending my attachment and heading back to school to do my Final Year Project(FYP), the queue for 969 is so long! Though bus 72 queue as well as the journey is always long, it comes faster an more on time. So i planned to take 72.

The journey from Tampines interchange to my school is long, that's why i must have a seat. First few days i did get seats, but it's not the seats i want as i feel so uneasy when sitting as well. so starting from this week's tues, i prayed to God that i want a seat and specify all the requirements(for double deck:seats on upper deck, on the left side, the inner seat, facing the wrong and not side, and regardless of front middle or back) for the seats i wanted. One of the days i even prayed last minute as the bus is already here. But God always answer my prayer and fulfill them.

Tues,i got the seat at the upper deck, at the last roll, just beside the window. Wed, i got the same seat ast Tues, Thurs, it came a single deck and i prayed last minute for the seat(for single deck:any seats will do), and God gave me one even the bus was pack. Fri, which is today, the bus that came was a double deck bus and i got the same seat as what i have on Tues & Wed, PRAISE THE LORD!

God is really amazing, everytime when i queue for bus 72, it was always so long, but yet, i still get the seats i wanted. As long as you have faith in God and be specific with what you prayed for, definitely God will be there to answer and fulfill your needs. God is a good God and He'll always take care of us no matter what as He is our shepherd and we are His sheep.

I believe this blog will be full with wonderful Testimonies and Revelations as our God will always be there to provide for us and create miracles and wonders that you never think or expect before. God will be doing something great in your lives as well my dear brothers and sisters. Have a great day ahead and God bless all of you...

Shine for the Marketplace

Hi guys, This blog is really nice, so lets all fully utilise it with our positive thoughts, dreams, vision and encouragment to one another.

Last service with Dr Peter wagner was awe-inspiring, was truely blessed by his sermons, church in the workplace and the 7-M mandate. He brings the whole cutural mandate we've learnt into a better understanding, a whole new level of understanding how we as christians should shine in our market place.

On sunday service, he mentioned about our GOAL in life is Transformation, both personal and corporate. We must first focus on the kingdom, Matt6:33-seek first the kingdom of God and all desires shall be added upon you. The 7-M(mountain) which is the 7pillars pst kong taught us, we saints should all be at the top of your mountain to influence the people below. Anyways if u wanna get what i mean, grab Dr Peter Wagner's audio cd, haha.

I as a student used to think the marketplace is not so much for the youth, but Dr Peter's message made me think otherwise now, i may be a student now praying to be the head of my campus but i will not stay as a student forever, the marketplace is equally as important for us in a few years down the road. So students let us all not only shine now in just our campus but let us also pray in future when we step out into the workplace we too be the head of which ever mountain we're in, be it media, arts and entertainment, business etc.

We will be at the top being a great influence of the society.We will SHINE ,N161, we'll be of great value in society. =)

N161 We stand united always.

Dear all, I am really glad that I am in this great CG. I truly feel that we are going to the next level. I have never felt this before but I am really excited to see how we are going on and what God have inputted in our CG. I really want to thank God for this time that I am in the CG.

Still remember a few months back I was told that I have the chance to go overseas for attachment? At that time I truly thought it would be a great opportunity for me. However I prayed to God about it. And it seems like I shouldn't go. Although I felt frustrated at that time but I am glad that I listened to Him. Or else I would have missed out this time great time where as a CG we are growing to the next level.

Well in this I truly believe that God has His plan for us. As Dorcas Jie said before, to God our future is His past and we should truly believe and have faith in Him that goes without saying but also in our leader and most of all our selves. Although we might not see it yet but if we continue to work hard and follow God wholeheartedly, He will never forsake us.

In His word Heb 13:5 - Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

I am glad indeed very blessed that at this time I am here with the CG. As I feel that little by little our hearts are together as one. I really thank God for you all. And I do not want to waste anymore time. For we only have one life and deep in my heart I want to live it for Christ.

One fact is that we are not perfect and have flaws. In His word - Pro 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Dorcas Jie also said that: “Whatever criticism just take the meat and throw away the bone.” So that it will enable us to grow even more mature.

Last but not least, let’s keep staying strong for the Lord and help each other through in times of need and keep everyone close to our hearts no matter how far they are.

So Ben, you will always be close to our hearts and we will be waiting for you to come back. J You are on a great mission, we will always be praying for you. So don’t think that you are fighting there alone.

Building of N161 Blog

Hi my Dearest N161! This is a blog that Benjamin, Belle and I thought of creating. This world is getting more and more advance and we shall not be left behind. N161 should go advance too. Instead of having the mentality of coming up with such complicated ideas, why not we start with the most simple one, that is blogging! This is the place that shows all about us. This is what we also known as " Voice Out". This is a place for us to share our Revelations and Testimonials on what God has done in your life. Not only these, we're trying to come up with more things as well, like adding of pictures too.

I strongly believe that everyone surfs the net, so by using this blog, we can interact with one another too as long as there're internet and computer beside you. As you know that our dear Brother Benjamin, who will be going to China(Shanghai) for overseas attachment soon. So through this blog, we can keep him update of what and how our cell group is doing within this 6 months. Most of us had heard a wonderful and touching testimony about us from Benjamin in the cell group meeting recently, why not we come out with this blog and allow him to feel close to us still even he's away. He is one of our member and every member in N161 is important to us. What other CG do for their members, we take it as a reference, but what's more important is what we do for our CG members. Let us not hesitate but join in the fun of typing and sharing what's happening in out life between one another. Be enthusiatic in everything as this is one of the important factor that our CG lack of, but i know we will overcome this matter.

I will try to include a section of photo gallery as well so that he can not only read what we are doing, and also see what we are doing as well. Once my uncle said to me a sentence that really impacted me a lot. He said:" A picture can mean more than a thousand words" and i agree with what he said. I understand that we've mentioned about coming up with a blog or having a Friendster account for our own cell group, but in the end we failed to. We always say, but seldom do it. What pastor mention:" Faith without Action is useless", and that's what we just learned in out BS in Foundation Truth 1 lesson 8. So the 3 of us decided to take the first step to do it. So our dear N161, let us be firm and be strong and like what Brendan shared before, be the pillar for the house of God. Let us stand united and do it as a team.

Remember, we are N161, though our CG may seems to be bit small for now, but it will never stay like this forever. Even Ivan can think like this, so why not for all of you? Blogging may seems to be girls thing, but to be honest it is not. it is the way for us to communicate with each other just that we expressed it through words. I really hope everyone of N161 will take the initiative to start up and support this blog thing and make it a good one. If we can make this a successful one, i believe we can make any other things a success as well. Take note, nothing is impossible as God will always stand by us and guide us in evey way of our life. Do not make comments about members of our CG or what anyone of us shared in this blog as this is not a fighting or arguing place for people to quarrel among each other. Peace, fun, laughter, joy, love, teamwork, as well as Holiness is what our cell group should have and not fights among one another. Thank you for your support and let us allow N161 to be the salt and light of the world and let the sparkles of the flame stay strong.
